The New York Occasions is buying the podcast studio that created Serial and S-City

The New York Occasions has acquired the audio manufacturing firm behind the favored podcast collection Serial, which is broadly credited with serving to popularize the fashionable narrative podcast motion. The corporate, known as Serial Productions, was shaped in 2017 by Sarah Koenig, Julie Snyder, and Ira Glass after the success of the podcast’s preliminary season three years prior, and the crew has gone on to supply two follow-up seasons of Serial and a standalone podcast known as S-City.
