Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has responded to an argument over sexually specific AI-made pretend photographs of Taylor Swift. In an interview with NBC Nightly Information that can air subsequent Tuesday, Nadella calls the proliferation of nonconsensual simulated nudes “alarming and horrible,” telling interviewer Lester Holt that “I believe it behooves us to maneuver quick on this.”
In a transcript distributed by NBC forward of the January 30th present, Holt asks Nadella to react to the web “exploding with pretend, and I emphasize pretend, sexually specific photographs of Taylor Swift.” Nadella’s response manages to crack open a number of cans of tech coverage worms whereas saying remarkably little about them — which isn’t stunning when there’s no surefire repair in sight.
