JAXA, the Japanese area company, confirmed Wednesday that it has misplaced communication with its Akatsuki spacecraft in orbit round Venus.
In its replace, the area company mentioned it failed to determine communications in late April after the spacecraft had problem sustaining its angle. This possible means there’s some kind of thruster concern on the spacecraft that’s stopping it from with the ability to orient itself again towards Earth.
“Since then, we’ve carried out varied measures to revive service, however communication has not but been restored,” the company said. “We’re presently engaged on restoring communication.” JAXA added that it’s going to announce additional actions, if any, as quickly as they have been determined upon.
