Now Lyft will cost further should you make drivers wait

Lyft is cracking down on late passengers. The ridesharing firm quietly up to date its help web page with new wait time charges that it’ll cost at a per-minute charge, a coverage that’s been round since December 2022, in accordance with Lyft spokesperson Katie Kim (through TechCrunch).

The wait time charges begin two minutes after a driver arrives at your location or 5 minutes for Lux Black and Lux Black XL rides. If a driver reaches your location forward of time, the wait time charges gained’t kick in till two minutes after your scheduled pickup.

Lyft doesn’t specify how a lot it’ll cost per minute and doesn’t define any doable charges on its web site. It solely says that charges “fluctuate by location” and that “further wait time fees might apply to your journey…
