Extra medical doctors throughout the nation are pushing again in opposition to fringe members of the medical group for spreading COVID-19 misinformation and touting unproven therapies.

Over the weekend, almost 100 physicians in Alaska signed onto a letter urging the state medical board to research medical doctors within the state who’ve promoted vaccine skepticism and pushed unproven therapies, particularly the antiparasitic drug ivermectin and the antimalaria drug hydroxychloroquine.

Merijeanne Moore, a private-practice psychiatrist in Anchorage, informed Anchorage Every day Information that she wrote the letter in response to an occasion final month known as Alaska Early Therapy Medical Summit. The occasion featured distinguished out-of-state vaccine skeptics in addition to at the least two Anchorage medical doctors steeped in vaccine skepticism and misinformation.
