T-Cell, Verizon, and AT&T pays a mixed $10.2 million in a settlement with US states that alleged the carriers falsely marketed wi-fi plans as “limitless” and telephones as “free.” The deal was introduced yesterday by New York Legal professional Normal Letitia James.

“A multistate investigation discovered that the businesses made false claims in commercials in New York and throughout the nation, together with misrepresentations about ‘limitless’ information plans that have been in reality restricted and had lowered high quality and velocity after a sure restrict was reached by the consumer,” the announcement stated.

T-Cell and Verizon agreed to pay $4.1 million every whereas AT&T agreed to pay a bit over $2 million. The settlement contains AT&T subsidiary Cricket Wi-fi and Verizon subsidiary TracFone.
