An in-game advert in UFC-Four prompted offended fan backlash | Reddit/r/Ydino
EA has apologized for placing a full-screen, in-game advert into its UFC Four recreation, after offended followers protested on Reddit. First reported by Eurogamer, the industrial break, which featured a spot for Amazon’s present The Boys, was added to the $60 recreation a couple of month after its preliminary launch.
An EA spokesperson wrote in a Reddit put up that the workforce had turned on advert placements within the recreation through the “replay” moments, and that whereas “this sort of promoting stock shouldn’t be new to the UFC franchise,” it has sometimes been restricted to “particular most important menu tiles or Octagon brand placement.”
