Of all of the movies due for launch this spring, Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Amongst Thieves was certainly one of my most anticipated premieres, solely on the energy of these killer trailers. The movie doesn’t disappoint. It is a contemporary, good-humored, energetic, and vastly entertaining fantasy/motion/comedy, boasting a stellar solid and stable emotional core that serves as a worthy homage to the well-known RPG that impressed it.

(Some spoilers beneath, however no main reveals.)

Honor Amongst Thieves is about within the massively standard Forgotten Realms marketing campaign setting. The movie’s official premise is brief and candy: “An enthralling thief and a band of unlikely adventurers undertake an epic heist to retrieve a misplaced relic, however issues go dangerously awry once they run afoul of the improper individuals.”
