An AT&T and Verizon outage is slicing off telephone calls

AT&T and Verizon are coping with an outage inflicting dropped telephone calls throughout the US, seemingly affecting calls between clients of the 2 companies.

In response to a press release from AT&T spokesperson Jim Kimberly, “Our community will not be experiencing a nationwide outage. There’s a nationwide subject that has effects on the power of some clients to finish calls between carriers. We’re working carefully with Verizon to find out the character of the problem and what actions must be taken.”

Verizon spokesperson Kevin H. King tells The Verge that the community is “working usually” however notes that clients primarily within the Northeast and Midwest “are experiencing points when calling or texting with clients served by one other provider.”
