The previous chief of Google’s now-shuttered Stadia service reportedly left the corporate

Phil Harrison, who headed up Google’s now-shuttered cloud gaming service Stadia, is now not at Google, in accordance with Enterprise Insider. Stadia was formally shut down in January, and Harrison apparently left at round that very same time.

Harrison’s quiet departure marks a muted finish to his time on the search large. He joined the corporate in January 2018, and whereas he didn’t specify what he was engaged on on the time, it was straightforward to guess that he was most likely doing one thing with gaming: Harrison labored at Sony Laptop Leisure (now Sony Interactive Leisure) for 15 years, was on the advisory board for the cloud gaming service Gaikai, and led Microsoft’s Xbox and Interactive Leisure enterprise in Europe from 2012 to 2015.
