SoftBank is reportedly is getting ready to promote chipmaker ARM to Nvidia as early as subsequent week in a deal price greater than $40 billion, The Wall Avenue Journal reported.
Rumors of the deal started circulating in July, and Nvidia has been reported to be the one suitor in concrete discussions with SoftBank. The deal, if it goes ahead, can be one of many largest ever within the chip sector and would seemingly face intense regulatory scrutiny. In accordance with the WSJ, the businesses have been in “unique” talks for weeks.
