
In an act of solidarity with the Writers Guild of America (WGA), the Display Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) will now not grant permission to impartial tasks that fall underneath WGA contracts to proceed manufacturing throughout the ongoing strike. On July 14th SAG-AFTRA introduced by way of an announcement on its web site that going ahead, WGA-covered tasks will now be excluded from its Interim Settlement coverage — which permits authorised impartial productions with no direct connection to the actors union to proceed filming.
