Netflix shuts down its providers in Russia

Netflix is suspending its providers in Russia over the nation’s invasion of Ukraine, as first reported by Selection.

“Given the circumstances on the bottom, now we have determined to droop our service in Russia,” Netflix spokesperson Emily Feingold stated in an announcement to The Verge.

Final week, Netflix stated it wouldn’t comply with a brand new Russian legislation that requires giant streamers to host 20 Russian propaganda channels, akin to NTV and the state-backed Channel One.
