McDonald’s will cease testing AI to take drive-thru orders, for now

In case your native McDonald’s has been getting your order confidently improper with an AI chatbot on the drive-thru, I’ve excellent news for you: The corporate is ending this system for now. The corporate instructed franchisees that it’s winding down an AI drive-thru ordering partnership with IBM “no later than July 26th, 2024,” based on commerce publication Restaurant Enterprise.
