Lawsuit: At Tesla, racial discrimination is “commonplace working process”

Tesla is going through a brand new racial discrimination lawsuit filed by 15 manufacturing facility staff who allege that Tesla’s “commonplace working procedures embody blatant, open, and unmitigated race discrimination.” Racial harassment and discrimination is “rampant” at Tesla and the corporate has “carried out little to nothing to moderately stop or cease this poisonous habits and work atmosphere,” the lawsuit says.

The plaintiffs embody 9 males and 6 ladies who work or labored at Tesla factories in California. About half of the plaintiffs had been both fired or give up, whereas the remainder nonetheless work at Tesla.

“Plaintiffs, who [are] African-American staff, have been subjected to offensive racist feedback and offensive racist habits and self-discipline by colleagues, leads, supervisors, managers, and/or Human Sources personnel each day,” the criticism says. The criticism alleges that an April 2021 incident at Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s house led to one of many plaintiffs being fired on the identical day.
