Joe Biden recommitted to ending fossil gasoline subsidies following backlash from environmentalists. On August 17th, the Democratic Nationwide Committee quietly eliminated language calling for an finish to the subsidies from a draft doc, HuffPost first reported. That triggered confusion over Democrats’ stance on fossil gasoline subsidies, because the DNC, Biden, and Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) have all opposed fossil gasoline subsidies previously.
