Elizabeth Holmes, the founder and CEO of disgraced blood-testing firm Theranos, took the stand in her personal protection late Friday, in a shock transfer by the protection workforce. Holmes is being tried on fees of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud, for allegedly deceptive traders and sufferers about Theranos’ blood testing system.
Holmes took the stand simply after 6PM ET on Friday, to the shock of most within the courtroom. Verge editor Liz Lopatto, who has been protecting the trial, stated Holmes appeared relaxed as she answered questions on her background and the corporate.
