Fb has suspended plans to launch Instagram Children, a model of its photo-sharing app for kids below the age of 13, as criticism of the undertaking gathered momentum in Washington.
Adam Mosseri, who runs the Fb-owned app, denied that the choice to “pause” improvement work on Instagram Children was an admission that the idea was a “unhealthy concept” and added that it was nonetheless the “proper factor to do” to construct a standalone app that gives mother and father extra management and supervision.
Nonetheless, Mosseri stated in a press release on Monday: “I hear the considerations with this undertaking, and we’re saying these steps immediately so we are able to get it proper.”
