England faces a correct “argy-bargy” in Pennyworth S2 trailer

Jack Bannon reprises his function as former British SAS soldier Alfred Pennyworth for the second season of Pennyworth on Epix.

An alternate London is as soon as once more threatened by a sinister society aiming to take over the British authorities within the trailer for the second season of Pennyworth, a criminal offense drama/prequel sequence primarily based on the character of Alfred Pennyworth, aka Bruce Wayne/Batman’s loyal butler. And that is a disgrace as a result of it is a strong sequence, even when it solely has a passing reference to the DC Comics characters who impressed it.

The sequence is about in an alternate London circa the 1960s. Jack Bannon stars because the titular Alfred Pennyworth, aka “Alfie,” a former working-class British SAS soldier who has discovered work as a bouncer at an unique membership and hopes to begin up his personal safety agency.  Amongst his potential purchasers: an American businessman named Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge), who’s secretly a CIA agent working undercover with a gaggle known as the No Title League. Among the many league’s different American brokers: Martha Kane (Emma Paetz), Batman’s future mom.
