Blue Origin hires advisory agency linked to messy JEDI contract course of

After dropping out on a multibillion greenback NASA contract for a lunar lander to SpaceX in April, Blue Origin has employed a high-profile strategic advisory agency named Pallas Advisors. These high-profile advisors have helped the corporate because it has gone on to protest the contract loss and finally sue the area company.

The founding companions of the Washington, DC-based advisory agency, Sally Donnelly and Tony DeMartino, are well-known to Jeff Bezos, the founding father of each Amazon and Blue Origin. Each Donnelly and DeMartino beforehand labored as consultants to Amazon earlier than taking jobs on the Division of Protection in 2017, throughout the Trump administration. There, they gained some unwelcome public notoriety.

On the Pentagon, Donnelly served as a senior advisor to Secretary of Protection Jim Mattis, and DeMartino labored as his deputy chief of employees. Throughout their time in authorities service, each Donnelly and DeMartino turned embroiled within the controversy surrounding the US Division of Protection award to Microsoft for the $10 billion Joint Enterprise Protection Infrastructure, or JEDI contract, for navy cloud computing companies.
