Apple retail staff vote to unionize a retailer in Maryland

Staff at Apple’s Towson City Middle retailer in Maryland have voted to unionize, with 65 yeses and 33 nos. Round 110 workers had been eligible to vote within the election.

The shop is the primary Apple retail location within the US to carry a union election, after organizers in Atlanta withdrew their petition to carry a union vote, which had been scheduled to happen in early Could.

Organizing on the Towson retailer has been executed by a bunch of workers that known as themselves AppleCORE (an acronym for Coalition of Organized Retail Staff). The employees have mentioned they need to develop their rights, particularly asking for a say when it got here to pay, hours, and security.
