Amazon to research allegations of harassment and discrimination in its AWS unit

Amazon will examine allegations of discrimination and harassment inside its Amazon Internet Companies (AWS) unit, following an worker petition that criticized AWS’s tradition, The Washington Publish reported. Greater than 550 Amazon employees signed the petition, which calls out AWS for its “underlying tradition of systemic discrimination, harassment, bullying, and bias towards ladies and under-represented teams,” the Publish reported. The petition additional alleges that Amazon’s system to research claims of discrimination is “not truthful, goal or clear.”
